The journey to Euro Lambretta 2007 started by travelling to Kelso Scooter Rally on Saturday and whilst we did not make it both nights we decided that Saturday night would be enough . Most of the Trojan SC had travelled up on Friday but we met up with Kev and Skinz on Saturday morning in Carnforth and decided to take the scenic route up the A6 . 5 miles past Kendal the side panel popped off and whilst initially I thought this was due to riding two's up , with full baggage etc it soon became apparent that the rear GAZ shocker had snapped .

A quick phone call to Airey in Kelso meant we could secure a newTaffspeed unit and so we called recovery and continued to Kelso after a one hour wait in the wilderness ! By the time we got to Kelso Kev and Skinz were just pitching the tents

             .

A usual tour around the towns pubs took most of the day and we finished it off by hogging the duke box . When I get time I will post the video footage of Elvis and Stevie Wonder singing live in Scotland ......true ! By the time we got back to the camp site the do had finished and we had to make do with our own entertainment by drinking Donk's Scumpy Jack and playing Tony Blackburn into everyone's tent til the early hours .SUnday morning soon came around and we headed off to start the journey to Stuttgart .

A quick journey over to Hull meant we met up with the rest of the guys from Trojan SC , Orgasm Addicts , York SC , Tadcaster Stax , Bridlington SC and Last Resort SC .

The ferry journey to Zeebrugge was the first night or our endurance test ....drinking crap lager with lashings of cheese and ham . Our first planned stop was in Aachen just over the German border and we had planned to meet up with Markus and Harold from LCD . A blown exhaust gasket and one puncture later we arrived mid afternoon at Markus's farther house who had kindly agreed to let 15 unknown english guys drink his beer and pitch their tents in his back garden ......some hospitality or what !!

A good night was had by all and after a very heraty breakfast ( once again supplied by Markus and his farther we packed up and set off to Heidelberg . After leaving late we decided to hit the motorways and make the best time possible , things went smoothly and we arrived with good weather to pitch our tents at the side of the river Neckar . Crates of beer were only 22 Euros so after polishing off a couple of crates we decided to hit town .

Being Tom's birthday it was time to celebrate and so a couple of hours in the local Punk'd bar got us lubricated sufficiently . The town seemed to shutdown at 3am and so back to the campsite for more beers .

A short ride to Neckarsulm the next day again was trouble free and this time we decided to take the scenic route along the river Neckar . Thursday night was being hosted by the Germans in a local gay club .....?????......Steve received admiring glances from the nice german boys in leather waistcoats .....mmmmmmm. ( A finger of fudge is just enough .........)

Oooohhhhh.....a broken down Lambretta .....lets all take photos' ! A broken gear cable was a minor set back on the way to Brugge .
